It's my first year training with power and i'm hooked. I love being able to monitor my power/intensity factor/stress. I've got my LT somewhere in the 320 range (I need another test - which is coming up in two weeks).

Is it reasonable to say I can boost my LT 30 points to 350 over a single season - winter? I know everyone is different, just throwing the question out there..

Depends on how fit you are now and how well you train.

Ride On!Depends how much training it took to get it to 320. Do you monitor CTL?

Well I started riding this year - I've riden pretty hard all summer. I have been biking all my life, but not competitively. Last year I biked across asia and the year before, across europe. I'm 6'2" and weight 153. Resting HR is ~42. I'd say I'm pretttttyy fit.

As for monitoring my chronic training load - I really don't do as well as I should. One of my goals for the winter is to monitor is more thoroughly. For the past week I've been taking it easy and this weekend I have my last race.

Ugh, it's all so confusing really.. I plaannnn to utilize poweragent more this season. I've got my winter meso cycle about 1/2 complete. ughhh

You sound similar to me in size and resting HR. I am also trying to drastically increase my power and LT/FTP right now. I say if you utilize your powermeter the right way and keep your training often and hard (20+ hours a week), you got it! Interested to see how it goes for you.

What is your normal weekly training routine?

I don't know where you live but I would guess it will be challenging to make it to 350 over the winter if you've already been riding hard up until this point of the year. If your training up to this point was completely unstructured and the volume not that high then perhaps if you increase volume and intensity you might get there. For many it's more difficult to ride as much in the winter so fitness generally drops a bit. In addition, most need a bit of a mental break if they've been training and racing for a season.

The only way you'll know is to give it a try!
