General Cycling Discussion - Obscure wheels and tires

To make a long story short, I'm looking for something like 14-16" wheels that are skinny and road race tires to fit them (the super skinny tires). The best I've found are 16x1-3/8 tires for recumbent wheels, which may work, but might be a little too wide still. I'm not up on bike terminology, so forgive me if something's not clear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was thinking a mini-velo wheelset at first but most of those seem to be 20". Maybe check with the crew in the folding and recumbent forums to see if they can give you more specific info about something in that size.

Schwalbe Kojak comes in a 349x32, which would be slightly skinnier. Hostelshoppe carries them. Small tires tend to be fatter, to maintain protection from pinch flats.

The wheel chair tires look perfect. And that suggestion led me to tubular tires. I was able to find some Panaracer 16"x18mm. Apart from that, the selection seems sparse.

High mileage vehicle for a competition. It's a very tight fit inside, so we need something more space saving than our current tires since our wheels are inside the car. A 20" track width inside an ~30" wide car leaves little extra space;)
