Manufacturer, Retailer, Survey and Consumer Feedback - Commuting App Survey 10 Questions. Help a fellow commuter.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey everyone,

I am new to this commuting thing and started only a year ago but I'm in love. I am currently attending a university and working on a group business project. Our team is working on an application specifically for the hard core community of commuters out there. If you have time please take this survey, its only 10 multiple choice questions.
Here's the details required by the mod's (sorry was unfamiliar with the requirements)

1. I am doing the survey for an entrepreneurial class at ASU (Arizona State University) for primary research.
2. My role in the survey is that I am the team leader of a group creating an app specifically for cyclists who commute.
3.The survey should not take longer than 4 to 5 minutes.
4. With the provided information we will better understand what commuters want and need out of an app... hopefully.
5. I will definitely post the results here for everyone to see and hopefully that will create further discussion or ideas!
THANKS EVERYONE!!! Heres the link below!

Thanks for your help!

Chad, I took the survey.

In my opinion, Question 7 needs an "other" option.

I checked three of the four (since it said to click all that apply). However, none of the reasons listed is primary reason for commuting by bike.
I own a car, but for logistical purposes I commute via bike allowing the other family members to have the car during the day.
All of the checked reasons are valid but secondary for me.

I made an iPhone App primarily for myself: CardioMapper, the one feature I'd like to add that you might think about is pulling wind speed from the web based on the GPS coords.

Great thanks everyone for the feedback and ideas. I changed question 7 and Trifusion that is a great idea, maybe a little tricky but time will tell. Keep the input coming everyone! Thanks a bunch!
