It was in stock earlier this week with some adjustments from the previous Kilos. I'm in the market for a new bike, I think I'm going to be getting one.

somewhat disappointing

looks identical to previous years, only a $50 price hike and on top of that the headset and spacers dont match with rest of the bike

dafuq man?

edit- pedals and saddle appear to be higher quality actually.

Higher price? They've always been 400.

2013 Kilo = meh. the pedals/clips seem like an improvement over whats included with other kilos, but it's still probably crapola.

The Kilo TT craze on this forum is somewhat reminiscent of the Z. Cavaricci craze back in the 90's.

Fixed that.

The Difference is that Z Cavaricci still bangs. And what is KiloTT anyways - everyone talks about that around here like it's obvious.

Dude, Z.C. was going strong in the early 90's.

A Kilo TT is kind of like the Volkswagen of the SSFG community. IIRC, the word Volkswagen means "People's Car" and the original idea was to have a cheap and reliable uniform car for everyone to drive. Imagine the roads filled with nothing but VW beetles, every single person driving the exact same car. Sometimes I get the feeling that's what's about to happen in here, except with Kilo TT's.

To be clear, it's not a bad bike by any means.

They do come with sealed bearing hubs now, even though the new rims are probably boat anchors.

bat i figured youd have caught that, he was comparing the fact that VW bugs and kilo TT's where both cheap reliable and inexpensive and designed for the masses.

Not that they where german designed or made..

But are they cartridge? BD's descriptions are worth ****. The old hubs were also sealed

It's also sad to know that the Windsor has linear pull brake levers with caliper brakes. CANT STOP. WANT TO

Scrodzilla
10-06-12, 09:19 AM
True. It does say "sealed ball bearings" so I doubt they're cartridge.

Not sure how I feel about the green, but I wish my Hour came with that hoods/bar set-up. Looks pretty comfy/functional for 300 bucks.

Windsor is a British bike. British bike vs KiloTT a German bike. Are you trying to start world war ii again?

The House of Windsor is the royal house of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. It was founded by King George V by royal proclamation on 17 July 1917, when he changed the name of his family from the German Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (a branch of the House of Wettin) to the English Windsor, due to the anti-German sentiment in the British Empire during World War I. Currently, the most prominent member of the House of Windsor is its head, Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of each of the Commonwealth realms. The House of Windsor, as the British Royal Family, has the legal and constitutional prerogatives and practices associated with that status.
