I have an OEM 1999 Cannondale RT1000 stoker stem. The seat post clamp uses a shim to fit the 27.2 mm captain's seat post. The surface of that shim is scratched, so I cannot read the OD size of the shim. (See the photo.)

Can anyone tell me the OD size of the shim? I have tried to measure it, but it could be a few common sizes, depending on how hard I squeeze the shim together.
Thanks!
Very accurately measure the wall thickness. Multiply times 2 and add that to 27.2.
Odd thing though, I was unaware that any Cannondales of that era used a shim to achieve 27.2.
FWIW, the best seatube shims I have found for 27.2 are the Thudbuster manufactured parts. Far better quality than Problem Solvers brand on account of being longer and anodized.

Great tip... thanks!
Here's a picture of the stoker stem.

It's so nicely made that it's actually a pleasure to look at or to hold!
