i just found the page on business cycles with the new zipp hubs (http://www.businesscycles.com/thub-zipp.htm). but they aren't listed in the price section yet.
anyone know how much these'll cost? i imagine they'll be somewhat comparable to phil's price and quality-wise...i've been trying to decide on a new hubset for my pursuit bike, since the DA's are gettin' a bit long in the tooth (still roll super smooth, i'm just sick of them).

I can't dig up the prices now, but I remember them being quite a bit more expensive than Phil's even.
Edit: Branford Bike has them in 28 hole at $250 each, front or rear.

DAMN! those are hot hubs!. What does 'coined' spoke holes and rolled threads, as opposed to cut threads mean?

coined is when its basically punched out rather than drilled.
rolled threads are smoother, they can be repeated to much tighter tolerences and reduce the fatigue of the metal of the thread.
they basically use a die that presses the threads rather than cuts them
they can also forge it while rolling.

Thread Rolling process is used for making external threads.
A die, which is a hardened tool with the thread profile, is pressed on to a rotating workpiece. As the force is gradually increased, the thread profile is transferred to the workpiece. This process produces screws with greater strength than machined threads due to the cold working, as well as better material yield.

I have a friend who can get a deal on the Zipps if you want them. He can you the complete wheelset with the carbon rims and whatnot too if you want that..

i don't like deep V's very much. thinner walls, no eyelets. i really like the cxp33, but that's what i've got on the front now, with a cp21 in the rear. both have been great over the years (the rear has been under a truck and came out virtually unscathed). i'm not sure exactly what i want yet.
i'm thinking about getting the DT Swiss rims, or maybe a set of ambrosios...or maybe some fir rims if i can find some...i need to do some more research.
I have a set of the Zipp classic track hubs and I love them. I bought them second hand about 4 years ago. For a bit there I was unaware of what I had and I delivered on them for a couple and then used the back hub on a crappy GT hybrid for my wife. I treated them like hell and they still roll as smooth as glass. I don't really think that they are worth the 450 for the pair but then again I am not you.
