Mountain - Plains - Beware booby traps on Platte bike path
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I hope they catch the person responsible and they recompense the rider and at least do some community service if not pay a fine.

Judging by the readers' comments in the article, they have an issue with anti-cyclists in that area. Seems to be an issue in many areas with large cycling communities; some of the stuff I read on this website I can't even imagine happening here in my area.
Unfortunately, that type of crime is really difficult to prevent and also difficult to find the responsible individual(s). I only wish I could catch someone in the act of setting one of these booby traps:mad:

When I lived in Denver that was my commuter route to work. I was never concerned about something like this in that section. There were some narrower sections closer to town, near the power plant that concerned me along with the under passes but I never had an issue. This is really sad.
