Hi Folks --
I need some ideas on a simple way to convert a standard "truck bed" fork mount such as the picture below to hold the rear dropouts of a tandem with 145mm spacing. I see that 9mm works out to .354", so maybe some 3/8" all-thread (.375") would fit? Depends on how tight the tolerances are inside the fork mount. But with all-thread, there would be no quick-release, and it would be nice to have a quick release.
I could buy a replacement 145mm axle, but rear axles are 10mm, which is .394".
There are lots of fork mounts on the market, maybe someone knows one that would be easier than the others to convert.
Thanks!
