Hey all
How do I remove the v brake posts on a Fox Vanilla fork. I use the disc and want to put that flat piece of plastic in there instead of the little stub. Thanks for the help.

There are flats on the post right at the fork, should be 8mm. If it is hard to get out heat just the post(not red hot) to soften the loctite they use on the post threads. You can also grab it with some vice grips if you don't plan on ever using them again.

Yeah, I had to use vise grips to get mine out. Very tough to back out, I thought I had a good fit with the 8 mm wrench, but quickly rounded off the flats.
The vice grips mangled them pretty good, but I figure I can buy replacements if I ever need them again.

OK. I know, stupid question. Is there an easy way to get the plastic plugs out of the fork. There are in another fork but I want to put them in my Fox. How do I get them out without scratching the paint. Thanks so far. I managed to get out the posts with vice grips.
