Mountain Biking - My advice of the day, Wednesday, January 26th, 2005.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sometimes taking your anger out on the bike is a good way, just as long as you don't throw or kick the bike. Get a good ride in on it after a long, tough day will make one much more relaxed.

True that. Most times on a friday afternoon I cant wait to get out there and forget about the week that just passed.

I never get angry at my bike...heck, it's not responsible for anything.

Having said that, I have *never* regretted going riding, even when I've had to walk home or catch a ride to the ER.

True Kona! I love Wednesdays because in our school we get the wednesday afternoons off for 'enrichment time' which the idea is to catch up on coursework and homework. Great time to go for a ride because it breaks up the week instead of a constant slog from monday to friday, it gives you something to look forward to through the week...

I've been guilty of throwing my bike a couple times. Of course, I can't recall what pissed me off now-something stupid, I'm sure.;) Lately, riding has been great for letting off some steam after the stupidity of work. I work nights so I try to ride right after work and I usually have time to hit the trails at least 3x a week(my minimum for sanity's sake). Kinda cold this morning, but well worth it.

AHHHHHHHHHHh that kid power slides better than I do .... :( :D

I have pitched my bike once or twice. Got really frustrated on a super technical xc trail in my first 2 weeks I ever rode (keep in mind I still have problems riding this trail even after 3 years), picked my bike up and through it at a tree :)

Hehe, i remember doing something similar, i was doing a river jump and i punctured my tyre, i didnt have a repair kit on me (doh) and neither did my mates, i wheeled it for about a mile then there was a stream that i had to cross, up went the bike, straight over the stream... Got to the other side and started pushing on the back wheel, wouldnt move, i bent the rear disc so badly that the wheel wouldnt move, so i then had to CARRY it the 5 miles back to my house..
