FSA Pig. cheap, not too much of a tank, and burly. did i mention cheap for what you get? i'll likely outlast the frame, if you install it well, and take care of it.

Well, when i had to use that type of headset i was very fond of Cane creek S-2. I think for what you get its a fantastic product, you do have to check for water because it can rust.

Depends on the cane creek, I'm using one and it's holding up nicely.

I killed my S-2 in about 4 months. Destroyed the bottom cartridge bearing.

If you can't get that, FSA Pig will suffice.

Ditto...I run this headset on all my bikes.
Chris King headsets are the best but they are expensive, I want one
Chris King headsets are the best but they are expensive, I want oneI MIGHT put a King Steelset on a DJ bike, but I'd NEVER put a standard King on a DJ'er. No way. My first choice for a DJ bike has to be the FSA PIG. Cheap and durable. Heck I was going to put one on the commuter rig just for fun.
I run a King on my trail bike, but it'll never see the level of abuse that a DJ bike would put on it
