Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, or to any forum actually! I started riding about 6 years ago. I grew up in Illinois so there wasn't much mt. biking so I was a roady. Once I moved to the east coast I took up Mt. biking and that was the end of road riding. Although, I am currently thinking about picking it up again, just need to find a good place to ride. ( I live in a city so the roads are way too busy with cars. ) My heart belongs to Trek! That's what I've been riding since 99'. I had a schwinn but I wrecked it! (long, but cool story!) I have a 7000, been thinking about putting on some disc breaks. Would love some info about that. Anyway, hope to meet some new fellow bikers. L8R! C!

My crash, well, um, it was scarry! I'm a nurse that works in a shock trauma operating room. I have taken care of many fellow mt. bikers in my day. But NOTHING, and I do mean NOTHING is more embarrassing than being one of those bikers brought in by your own team! And on top of it all, getting your clothes (yes, including my nice new oakley biker shorts) cut off you so you are lying there naked as the day you were born in front of your collegues! But at least i knew i was in the best of hands! I'm still called crash at work. ;) You can just say I mastered the art of endo-ing! luckily i only dislocated my shoulder, broke my tailbone, nose and 1 rib! BUT I STILL RIDE! took me a while to get back but i did it! CAIO!:D
