General Cycling Discussion - Front Kickstand

I just thought I'd pass this along. I saw a touring setup in Cuba NM the other day that had a front as well as a rear kickstand. The guy said it was a Dutch bike, and by golly, he had a Dutch (I guess) accent.

Actually, the load he was carrying was impressive, too. The guy must have been carrying something like 40 pounds or more, and between Cuba and anywhere else in the world there really isn't much of anything at all.

I dunno, maybe it was only interesting to me, but I did enjoy chatting with the guy. The bike was a Koge.

KogA, Miyata,, they have a Tubus order that adds the 2nd KS fittings at the bottom of the L lowrider.
stops the wheel rolling and so helps .. even when not heavily loaded but for the grocery shopping.

now Tubus has an accessory piece kit to do that with their regular, low racks.

Interesting. I'm not going that route, though I do use a kickstand. It was a really professional installation, by the way.

I was impressed with the route as well as the bike. It was well and truely loaded down, and between Bloomfield NM and Cube there's an absolute gain of 2,000', and not much between here and there besides sage brush, rabbit bush, and hills. Lots of hills.
