Fully Loop 1 Year Anniversary Ride!
(Slow Pace)
I can't believe I have been riding for a year!!! Lets celebrate by riding and bringing a 1st time Newbie to this event! More info to come!
We will be having another Newbie Friendly ride Saturday, October 20 at 8am at the Fullerton Loop. This is a social ride so the pace is very slow. We regroup often with an average ride of 2.5-3 hours.
The Fullerton Loop is a combination of fire roads, single track, street, and some down hills. There will be a little climbing but nothing too steep or hard. There is no shame in walking! The goal is to complete the ride and have fun doing it. Our route is 11.2 miles with some variations of the trail for those who want to do some extra credit stuff. For the 1st timers, we will have a second group that will be led by me and will do the shorter 8 mile loop cutting it off after the Grissom Park Asphalt Climb.
That and i wanted to get back early so i can set up the PA system for some Music and cupcakes, etc. I would like to have a BBQ, but its just not in the funds..so ill bring a couple of Coolers and have water for everyone and some home made cupcakes. If anyone wants to contribute and bring anything, that would be awesome! Anyway, let me know if anyone wants to bring anything and lets make a party outta it! Im pretty sure we will have some goodies from the Local Bike shops so we will be in good hands!
This is a "social" ride. Waiting for all riders at the regroups will be expected and much appreciated. (Breaks are a good thing!)
We will meet at the Fullerton Courthouse entrance closest to the gas station at 8:00am and ride out at 8:15am. If anyone needs their biked checked(air, adjustments, etc., come earlier about 7:40am)
Riders are expected to bring their own tools, pump, patch kit and most importantly, a helmet. If you do not have a pump or tools, please let us know ahead of time so we can arrange something for you.
