if I told you one of my sons urinated in the kitchen trash can this AM? His excuse you ask? He was confused.

I could see how the three foot tall stainless steel cylinder with the footpedal operated lid in the room full of cooking appliances would throw him off.

I have a two-year-old and he's potty training. Nothing fazes me anymore.

Pooped in the bathtub? Check.
Peed on the floor? Check.
In most rooms of the house? Check.
Removed his diaper and smeared poo on the wall? Check.
Whipped off his training pants and squirmed around in the guest room bed while his grandparents are in the room? Check.
Lots of traumatic toddler-poop diaper changes? Check.

If I came home to find he'd urinated in the kitchen trash, I would probably calmly take the trash out and clean up, then get him ready for bed without flinching. Actually, it sounds like the kind of thing he might try while Mommy is putting his baby sister to bed.

Was he drunk or on medication?

Also, it occurs to me that our kitchen trash can is WAY too tall for my son to urinate in. Whew!

My son will run out behind the garage if he has to pee and the one bathroom is occupied.

If he pees in the kitchen trash can, what does he put in the toilet?

My uncle and his family (they live in east TN and have three boys) were at my parents (near LA) once and their boy peed on a tree in a park three houses down from my parents' house. Apparently when the water is out at their log cabin house (which happened with some frequency), they just go out to the trees to do their business. I guess he got a lecture about not peeing on the trees while he was visiting California from his dad.

Why have the excuse 'the bathroom is occupied'? Sometimes I don't feel like walking all the dag gum way to the house.
Now into the trash can? I'd be wondering about the kid...

One of my wife's friends found her husband peeing in the kitchen sink, and I've been able to use that to make myself look better for a while now ('hey, it could be worse, I could pee in the sink')

On the other hand, when my wife told me that story my 1st reaction was not complete disgust, but rather to ask if there were dishes in the sink...

... why would anyone pee in the kitchen sink?

You don't even know... but a lot of it is dependent on the kid's temperament. Here's to hoping yours is easy. :thumb:

There is a commercial on TV right now for a germ figting cleanser... a little boy runs out of the bathroom and tell his mom "Mommy I made a poo-poo!". She goes into the bathroom, peers into the toilet and says "Where?"... he then points to the bathtub... of course the little boy was about 3... not 8 or 11... JSharr your boy needs some extended potty training.

Actually he's a man child... all men see something and think "Mmmm what would it be like to pee in there?" I guess you can say he's growing up (into a typical Man Pig oh well).

You just do it without thinking? My boss had a party this weekend, during which both David Blaine and Woody Harrelson urinated on trees in front of his building.

Trees outside someone's office bldg is not the same as peeing in a trash can in mom's kitchen and she is going to find out..

I take the trash out in my house and have to clean up after it, no way I am peeing in the trash cans.

You only live once, have a BLT with extra bacon and think about it before it's too late.
