The last short tour (Aug) of our season took me back to Sooke, B.C. We rode in from Swartz Bay off a ferry from the mainland. Hooked up with the Lochside Trail to the Galloping Goose trail, with the 1st stop at Thetis Lake. Nxt day we continued down the trail thru to the Sooke Potholes campgrounds. Along the way in I had a flat and while fixing it we experianced an earthquake
just a jolt really something like 3-4 on Richter scale. But it felt direct under our feet, a roar proceeded the jolt. Came back the nxt day to Thetis and the following day stops in Victoria for lunch then back to Tsawwassen.
It's getting colder now and I'll need to get the gloves out for some winter riding soon, prefer the warm weather tho.
