the red and black is good, lots of black parts to go with the theme.

The powder coat looks real nice!

I have to guess. Is the frame a Nishiki Colorado?

I had a Richard Cunningham Design Nishiki Colorado back in the day - I sure wish I wouldn't have given it away. I keep wondering what type of a touring/commuter it would have made.

What's the chain stay length?

it is actually a Giant Yukon frame i scored on craigslist pretty cheap. my lbs (the bike factory in waipio) has already started ordering me parts. hope to have in done within the next 2 weeks.

Keep us informed how it goes. I'm thinking about doing the same thing, mtb to tourer buildup, in January.
