The thing is, with this app, you're still the dick who's looking at his phone during the movie driving everyone else nuts. Well, it does say it has a vibrate setting, but then you miss out on the whole filling you in on what you missed feature.

These kids and their technology... back in the old days you just used your now empty soda cup and left it under the seat.

The problem I have with this app is two-fold:

1. Someone other than yourself determined when the optimal time is. Who's making that determination- the developer, movie studio, some film critic?
2. What happens when six screens at the multi-plex all have optimal moments at the same time? Not that everyone would go at the same time, but still...

Then there's the issue on when you are supposed to get caught up on what you missed. Are you supposed to read about it while taking care of business (eww factor) or do you do it during a 'good' scene?

Unless you were at the drive in- you cared less about the action on the screen and more about the action in the back seat.
