General Cycling Discussion - Trainer setup?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok, it's raining outside, so I don't get to ride today. How sad.
But wait? What's this? Someone on craigslist is selling a fluid2 trainer for a decent price! And I think, on a rainy day like today, what would be better?
So, before I pull the trigger, how complicated is this thing to attach?
EDIT: And another question: is it significantly better than heading to my gym's spin class?
Set up is simple and intuitive. The advantage I see with mine is that I am riding the exact same setup I use on the road, because I am in fact riding the same bike.
If you are just going for the cardio exercise, either the spin class or the trainer will work. If however, you are working to perfect your cycling performance, I submit that the trainer will do a better job of that.
