Hey guys so I have a question. I want to buy a nice 29er hard tail race bike. I am torn between a superfly al and a stump jumper comp al. What are the advantages and disadvantages to both and what do you guys recommend? Um also looking at a trek cobia. Is that Bike worth buying? Will I notice a difference from a higher end bike like the superfly? By the way the bike I'm upgrading from is the spec hard rock sport disk 29er. Thanks for the help

What is your history in the racing world? I upgraded to a race worthy Scott a couple years ago and was blown away with the HUGE difference from BasicBike to Widowmaker. They get the money because there is a big difference. The real question is, are you buying above your skillset? I know I did. But I like it.

What's your budget?I'll hazard a guess that it's somewhere between the $1,200-some of the Cobia's and the $2,200-2400 of the Stumpjumper and Superfly. But that's just a hunch . . . .

Tad more than that: http://www.competitivecyclist.com/za/CCY?PAGE=PRODUCT&OPTION=LOAD_PRODUCT_BY_ID&PRODUCT.ID=19358

But you can't test ride it, unless you happen to be in SLC or have a Santa Cruz dealer in town.

yeah that's about right, more like $1,500 to $2,000. What major differences would there be regarding the superfly, to the cobia?
