Fifteen months ago I bought a Kurt Kinetic wireless bike computer to use with my bike on the trainer.

The battery went dead last week so I replaced it as well as the batteries in the heart rate monitor and the Speed/Distance transmitter.

The computer quit after just 19 kilometers. All the numbers and text show up properly, but the speed and distance remain at Zero. I've fiddled with the Speed/Distance transmitter and the magnet on the spoke. No change.

Any suggestions?

I have a wireless computer that stopped working. Replaced the batteries, but it would work intermittently. I ended up moving the transmitter as close to the speedo head as possible. The magnet was glued to a spoke-mounted reflector. Not elegant, but it works perfectly now.

Good suggestion. I guess I could try it out on the front fork. In that case, it would work on the road, but not on the trainer. Trying the front fork would be a good test to see if the computer even works.
