Is this a drama about a man plagued by baseless accusations, forced to defend himself again and again, until he just gives up and walks off and everyone celebrates his failure to challenge and thus decides he must be guilty of everything and revokes him from history?

Is it a sci-fi where we actually erase people from history by implanting them with mind control devices and sending them back in time to perform their own abortions?
