Nice - Go with a wooden hilt - That way you will always find it...
The analogy here is from that beaten up wooden handled screw driver that always finds its way back into the tool box unlike the nice drivers that seem to walk off on their own...

Check out the yellow handled one on the left. When I was in high school and college I worked in my father's garage. I got his hand-me-down knives including this one that he had broken the tip off of. I ground the tip square and made a screwdriver out of it. When far enough away from our toolboxes this thing proved very handy with the knife and screwdriver in one. I could cut wire, belts and hoses with it, tighten radiator clamps, etc.
