Cyclocross - What Kind of Embro is Everyone Using?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

With cross season in full swing now, would like to hear which kind of embrocation everyone is using/prefers and why?

I use Enzos http://www.enzoscyclingproducts.com/embrocation Medium & Hot. Hot is hot for sure, and they smell amazing, plus he is a local guy and also makes great chamois cream (Buttonhole).

Nothing yet, but I can barely be bothered to shave my face, much less my legs.
I can see it being helpful for long winter road rides here though. A few hours of cold rain and my knees get cranky.

I tried Soigneur last season, but it didn't get hot enough for me while riding. It only really felt warm when I was exposed to heat, like in a convinience store or in my car after the ride. It was brutally hot in the shower. Other people I've talked to had much better luck with it.
This season I have the high-heat DZ Nuts. I just tried it for the first time on Saturday. It seemed to kick in quicker, feel better while riding, and it wasn't any worse in the shower than Soigneur. It smells a little bit like RedHot candies. 12 hours later, even after washing my legs 3 or 4 times, I could feel it on my legs in bed. My heating bill should be down some this winter. The next day I used the same knee warmers without washing them and I could feel the heat during my ride.
I would have tried Mad Alchemy since they get rave reviews, but my LBS doesn't carry it.

If you don't want to shave, you should consider embro oils. Mad Alchemy's Preride warming oil is some good stuff and doesn't get clogged in hair.

Yea, I've been reviewing DZnuts recently and agree it kicks in quickly, though it also absorbs quickly which makes pre-ride massage a challenge. Mad Alchemy is good stuff, for sure; which one were you looking to try, we have some around --v.
I use Enzos http Medium & Hot. YES, good stuff. Im a big fan of the medium
I'm a fan of Mad Alchemy's Gentleman's Blend...just right for me.

Just wanted to let everyone know about one of the new embro producers on the block - Buckler Embrocation. Been testing out some of their products over the past few months and am really impressed. So far Ive tried the Arenberg Blend (http://www.balmco.com/reviews/embrocation/arenberg-blend/) and Pacific Blend (http://www.balmco.com/reviews/embrocation/pacific-blend/). The later is without a doubt my fav non-warming.
