Introductions - Newbie Here From Spokane,Washington

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

57 yr old Male. Just moved to Spokane from Sacratomato,CA (couldn't take the traffic & $$$ anymore. Anyway I grew up in Davis, CA, home of UC Davis, whom some folks refer to as the Bicycle Capitol of the World (I don't :-). But in Davis many kids learn to ride a bike almost before they walk (really). So I've ridden all kinds of bikes in my years in Davis, CA, Eureka CA, Tulsa, OK. Then back in Sacramento, CA I went to Crusier style motorcycles for a good number of years.

In 1989 I broke my back (no not on the motorcycle :-) and pretty much gave up on two wheel transportation of any type because of the pain. Then 3 months ago, after moving to Spokane I discovered the world of recumbents (I live about 2 blocks from the Centennial Trail) and my love for cycling re-ignighted. I've since done allot of research on "bents" and have found a great Burley dealership here.

My biggest battle now is weather to purchase a new Limbo or a new Canto, as I have to always think interms of my back & my pocketbook (being on a fixed income).

Love Spokane & So Glad I Found This Site. Hope I can find some Recumbent addicts here in Spokane :D

Welcome to Spokane and welcome to the forums  I'll probably be seeing you out on the CT if you ever ride over on the northwest side of town.
