Hello everyone,
Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I've been in and out of cycling since I was 20 years old. Bought my first "real" road bike - a Bianchi Campione d'Italia - after watching my cousin compete in the 1987 RAAM. I then crewed for him in the 1988 RAAM and watched Lemond make his comeback in 1989. I was hooked. I eventually got married and had kids and sold the Bianchi - no time to ride. I got back into it again and bought a 2001 Opus Allegro (Canadian brand, first model year). That lasted for a couple years and I had to sell it for financial reasons. In the meantime I took up running. But last spring my 45 year old aching knees told me to stop running. I bought a used 2006 Giant OCR2 to get me back into the sport. I'm loving it now more than I ever did.
