I am looking at buying a new 2012 giant tcr composite 2 with shimano 105 5700 as well as buying giants pslr-1 aero road wheel. I will be getting it from a bike shop so there are taxes and with all taxes included its going to cost me 2998$. Id like to know if its going to be worth the money because im 16 years old and i buy all my cycling equipment with my own money (not allowance) and this a huge amount of money so please respond your opinion. Thanks!

It is a sweet ride. I have the Defy Composite 2, and I like it more every time I ride it. As to whether it's worth the money or not, only you can decide that. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Welcome Parker. Sounds like an awesome deal to me.
The folks in the Road Cycling (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php/41-Road-Cycling) forum can give you good advice about the bike and the wheels.

This model is a great value for what it gives you. Basically, just to give you a bit more info on this, the TCR Composite line of bikes contains a lower grade of carbon fiber than the TCR SL line and replaces an outer carbon weave layer with black paint. The different process on this line adds a bit of weight but give you a lower cost ride.

Reviews of this model have been great and everyone I've heard who's ridden it says it provides a great experience, so I'd say go for it!
