What's the deal with you caring whether he wears eye liner or not?

It detrimentally affects my marriage in a number of middle states.

I'll give it a shot if it makes me ride that fast.

Whats the deal with this guy wearing eye liner ?He's really . . . a she . . . defected Olympiad from the former Soviet Block state of Uzbekistan named Sveltlana Guirriev. Old habits die hard.

I am gay and I think he's cute. Sometimes males wearing eyeliner mean they are gay so I am interested.

Why are you interested in me caring about him ? Are you gay too ?

You wrote, "What's the deal?" You don't need to hide yourself behind some passive-aggressive phrasing. We're pretty chill here, if you really wanted to know if he was gay or not you should have just asked. I suspect none of us know the answer as I doubt any of us have met him or know him at personal level.

I wasnt aware that the phrase "whats the deal" is passive-aggressive. Is that a Canadian thing ?

I don't think santiago was referring to your single phrase "what's the deal" as being passive-aggressive...I think it was more in response to the sum of your comments in this thread...the nature of which just happened to be continued in your last reply.

Could be a dancer in Vegas. Many gay and straight dancers wear "highlights" for a bit of POP on stage. Todd probably isn't a dancer.

A LBS Manager got in a fist fight locally when the shop owner found out he was gay. Bit stupid battle and now lawyers are winning judgements. He continues managing at a different shop. At one time he was sponsored and gathered a few points, nothing big. He is a great guy and I have thrown a bit of sponsorship money to him for local races. I do it because he is a solid rider, not because of any preference he has sexually, beer or food.

That said, sexual preference isn't what this thread is about. I don't think making a deal of it here is gonna go far.

. . . not because of any preference he has for . . . beer . . . .Oh man, you're easy - - there are many ways he could screw that up in my book.

I'm not interested so much as curious about the thread/title. Your wording made it seem as if you had a problem with him wearing eyeliner. My point was: so what if he wears eyeliner?

I'm not, and I also don't really have a concern whether he or you are gay. Who cares? He can still ride a bike a whole damn lot faster than me.

At this point, I can only assume you're trolling, and/or someones puppet.

No, but the beer could.

IPA tastes like my cat's litter box smells. Can't abide the stuff, and prefer it not to mix with my stouts and porters, though can stomach it if it's the only thing handy.

In that respect, guess it's sorta' like experimenting in college.

I experimented in college. Finally got expelled, after my roommate grew a third arm in an awkward place.

Not that kind of experimenting?

Define it how you like. :)

Oh yeah, to the OP: I guess the deal is that sometimes Todd Wells sometimes likes to wear eyeliner.

IPA tastes like my cat's litter box smells.I used to feel the same way. Then my son started dragging me over to the hoppy side. It grows on you - - especially with the sheer variety of IPAs produced here to sample.

Pro tip: If you run across Deschutes' Hop in the Dark, you owe it to yourself to give it a go; inky dark with a hop kick.

Beer talk is so gay.

Scrub, if someone handed us a variety pack of beer, we'd get along well. Love IPAs and hoppy pales, but can't do the dark stuff. I generally like the first couple sips of porters and stouts, but they get heavy fast, and I tend to get sick off not a lot of beers, even if the alcohol content is the same or lower than my regular beers.

Todd Wells isn't doing it for me either. Sorry. I had no idea that eyeliner was a sign to the gay community that a man was gay. Isn't he sort of a celebrity crush though, in which case his sexual orientation doesn't matter? Assuming you aren't trolling and you actually are gay, here's some eye candy for ya: http://blog.bikeridr.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Ryan_Leech_03-16-09-001242.jpg
If that picture doesn't turn you on, watching a video of him ride will. But the guy's married. To a woman. I guess my question is who cares? It's not like you're trying to date him, or that if he's gay, he's suddenly going to see this thread, drop whatever relationship he might be in, and date you instead. Admire (his looks, his riding, whatever) from afar.

dminor, I never did get into that Cask Beer they were pushing on us up in your neighborhood. I like my beer chilly.

And Zephyr, I really wish you would get my permission before you post those pictures of me. That was quite a weekend-thanks again!:thumb::lol::twitchy:

dminor, I never did get into that Cask Beer they were pushing on us up in your neighborhood. I like my beer chilly.Me too; don't get the fascination for room-temp beer. BTW, you missed a heckuva OktoberFest here - - 24 WA micro and craft brewers with more variety than you could shake a stick at. Got to sample some really excellent stuff.

Speaking of room-temp beer, when you go to Whistler, trot to the liquor store and buy your beer/ale the second you hit town and get it in the 'fridge. There are no cooler cases in the stores :notamused:

OK - - enough Todd Wells. Let's talk about Bob Wills.

It's those damn passive-aggressive Canadians again. Passive-aggressive gay Canadians with warm beer.

Makes you glad to be an American, doesn't it?
