Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I train on a older Minoura MagTurbo II, the kind where you remove the front rim and attach the fork to the trainer using a QR lever. It has a support under the bottom bracket. What ever happend to these types of trainers? I only ever see the fold-up kind where you leave the front rim on the bike. I can't find any info on the older units anywhere. Anyone remember these kind of trainers? Why aren't they made like this anymore?

Funny you should mention, cause I just got out my Schwinn Speedworks II. Think it's similar to the MagTurbo. Just don't remember it being such a workout years ago. The nice Kansas weather turned snowy & icy again though.
