Winter Cycling - snowmobile gloves

I have mitts, bar mitts and better than bar mitts

but i would like warmer gloves for big hands (above XL size)

with my current system i can only do 10/15F, 2hr trip
VBL + black diamond woolweight + 40g thinsulate leather gloves

I think with 10 times more insulation in the leather gloves i could go through the winter with gloves only but i don't know which one works best

I like the look of the second one too.
The one from the fourth link is ugly but seems to have the most insulation. But on other websites the primaloft insulation is replaced by thermolite so i don't know what to think

I don't think that any of these gloves is designed for long cold cycling. They won't breath well enough. You don't want waterproof gloves for below freezing temperatures. And you need a system that can be dried out easily when soaked with sweat.

Best method in my opinion for really cold cycling gloves. Get a cheap pair of polyester fleece ski gloves at the local cheap mart and if they have a water proof lining in them rip it out. The warm ones have a fleece lining and fleece outer. Some have a kind of plastic membrane between the layers. You have to get this out. Sometimes you have to cut a slit between the layers to get it out. But no big deal as you are only buying 10-15 dollar gloves. Then get some mountaineering glove shells To go over them. You can pull them apart easy to dry out. And very warm.

I have already done that and i know it works but i will need bigger gloves to go over anyway

I will give a name to the mitts, bev and ver the mitts. Ride through the city and then someone will see me and will call the police saying that 2 dangerous gorillas are wandering somewhere in the city. They will call hunters and i will be shot down by hunters. No way. Mitts are too dangerous.

Regarding the bar mitts. I already have some. The problem with it is that you have to remove them every time you park the bike. That above all the other things i already have to remove it's too much.

I have the solution a mix between mitts and bar mitts, a synthetic sheepskin cover that i fix directly onto my gloves which allow me to keep the dexterity of gloves and have the warm of mitts and bar mitts but i still need bigger gloves anyway.
