I finally started my commute again after a long winter. I have a long commute so I check the weather report carefully. Living in Wisconsin near Lake Michigan makes for very interesting weather patterns. Yesterday the weather forecasters called for rain all day so I didn't ride into work. It turned out it was sunny all day and in the 70's.

Today there was no rain forecast so I left my house at 5:00am and it was 60 degrees. About 3/4 of the way in to work I was hit with 20 mile an hour headwinds and rain and a 20 degree drop in temperature. There I was quite underdressed for the conditions and soaking wet when I got to work. So why, when I'm sitting at my desk, am I smiling so much this morning? :D

I'm glad you guys warmed up after the rough winter. Out in Monterey where I am, the weather is always pretty much the same, so I've begun to forget that temperatures can change drastically in other parts of the country. Kind of makes me miss the Midwest where I grew up.

Andy that doesn't sound like a reason to miss the midwest. I have to admit I like to see the seasons change but winter and spring can be really nasty. I'd rather visit those climates and live in your climate. The grass is always greener..............

By the way do they let bikes on 17 Mile Drive? And can you stay out of the way of 17 year olds in Daddy's Porche?:D Just kidding.
