Foo - I'm seriously considering finishing up a degree in Physics.

Think of all the fun I can have with gravity, time and lower coefficients of frictions.

How far do you have left to go and what kind of degree is it? As an experimental scientist (microbiologist), I've always been jealous of theoretical physicists for whom "research" involves sitting in their offices and thinking and then maybe scribbling some math **** on a dry erase board and then sitting and thinking some more. Wash, rinse, repeat. Always repeat. If only I'd made it past multivariable calc, I could have joined them, but the math got boring (or hard, not sure which), so I decided studying bacteria would be more fun.
Professor Couch, Professor Mudkipz, Professor Incident, so many possibilities. You should do this, get on staff at some university and teach. You would make a good teacher. Inge could stay in your lab and bite you to entertain the students. You would wear a tweed jacket with leather patches on the elbows and smoke a pipe that was carved to look like a delicous bass.

It was all undergrad work from many moons ago. To be honest, I would likely have to start all over again with Math classes and early Physics classes. This is all personal goal type stuff. I don't think I could ever successfully apply a degree like this in the real world.

You can start by watching the Big Bang Theory and taking notes.

I've already proved 75% percent of Sheldon's theories as pure hokum.

They are both attractive. And they likely know how to form complete sentences in an understandable format.

My physic professor at Cleveland State was the same way. Jearl Walker was the most influential professor I had in College. All around neat guy.

I am very afraid of the idea of Couch studying High Energy Physics, or Quantum Physics. Especially Quantum........
He might just either interrupt the Quantum Flicker cycle, or he might collapse the wave front of the Higgs-Boson particle that comprises the macro Universe.

Congratulations. I think it is always a good idea to further one's education. While it's something that may or may not have real-world applications, it is something that shows your dedication and commitment to learning and to your ability to set a goal and acheive it. Go for it.
