I've found these types of comparisons to be mean spirited at best. Not a big fan of perpetuating these sites. It just adds to self-image distortions people have about themselves.

eh, some of the ladies looked pretty either way, some I had no idea who they were, and some apparently wear lots of pancake makeup when out in public. it is what it is.

Rachel Greene and Kim Kardashian look better without makeup to me.
So much for guys saying they like "natural" women. :rolleyes:I'm used to seeing my wife without and when she does wear a minimum amount, she looks unnatural to me. Plus, it beats the Mimi effect- 283684

All I'm saying is that Keith Richards I mean Goldie Hawn is looking rough there. In both of those pictures actually.

Some of those are pretty scary but I wonder if the "without" photos are modified any. If you have a lot of pictures to choose from, taken in a variety of lighting, you can probably find some that make almost anybody look bad. And it is hard to find a woman that you can't improve with professional makeup.
I see plenty of women my age that look pretty scary though. Fortunately my wife still looks terrific to me. I don't know how I look, maybe I could scare the paint off of a park bench, especially after my accident 2 years ago where they spent hours piecing my face back together. But I try not to spend time looking at myself in the mirror.
I wore lipstick once. I was HAWT!
Seriously, I wore lipstick.

She is nearly 70.
She is nearly 70.
My mother is 85 and looks way better than that.
The tanning bed was not kind to Goldie.

Most of the younger ones looked as good or better without the makeup. They did look very different, though. If I knew who they were to begin with, it might have been hard to recognize a few.

I was thinking that I am so pleased that my wife has such natural beauty... with her fair skin and auburn hair and two brushes with cancer she is also not one to spend time in the sun and although she will soon be 40 folks are going to think I really robbed the cradle.
She never wears makeup.
One of the big issues for these celebrities is that they spend so much time in makeup that it has a really bad effect on their skin and creates a vicious circle where they then need makeup to conceal the damage.
My daughters are teenagers and neither wants or desires to wear much in the way of makeup and my youngest says, "if you do not find me beautiful the way I am, you better keep looking."
They also think my wife is beautiful and are aware that she never wears makeup and takes good care of herself and her skin.
the goldie hawn was the one that freaked me out
Once upon a time, she didn't need makeup. She is almost 70 fer crissakes...

Reminds me of those makeover info-mercials. The "before" picture is with messed up hair, no smile, looking down. Of course everyone looks better if the "after" picture if they smile, brush their hair & look forward. Some meansprited editor picked those "before" pictures. Some of the Befores are better that the overdone after pictures anyway.

These are my stars... and I am so pleased our daughters know that they are beautiful just as they are and don't buy into what the fashion and cosmetic industry would like to sell them and see that many of their friends have also embraced this.
My wife is an excellent mentor and we do not tell the girls that they can't wear make up but that they don't have to... they think she is beautiful and know she never wears makeup because it does such nasty things to one's skin.

I'm thinking the ladies all look that way because they're genuinely p.o.'d. They just had some sleazeball snap a photo while they're going to the gym or doing some other mundane chores. Sometimes it's nice to be anonymous, but their profession doesn't allow it.

Some are just bad photos too - i.e., Julia Roberts without isn't even in focus. Jennifer Garner is gorgeous either way as are some of the others.

I'm with you there. You know what tastes even worse? Antiperspirant. Not that I know this from licking armpits, but lets just say that freshly applied deodorant rubbed off somewhere that must have been later kissed and both participants kissed after that and had a numbed out bugspray tasting mouth for quite some time. An experience not to repeat.

I honestly think that most women look far better without makeup although those that know how to use a little to great effect probably have us faked out... :)
And let me also say, it tastes terrible.
