I thought I would start a thread where everyone shares pictures and specs of their computers. I haven't found any other like this, so please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll start.

My Computer (Custom Built):

Internals:
4.7GHz Intel Core i5 - 2500k (have gotten it up to 5.0GHz, but normal overclocking is around 4.5GHz, I don't overclock all the time though; only when I have some heavy duty stuff to do)
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-SDRAM @ 1600mhz (removed heatsinks since they do nothing for ram and get in the way of my CPU cooler)
ATI Radeon HD 5770 - overclocked @950mhz, has 1GB GDDR5 RAM
Corsair TX750W Power Supply
MSI Z77A-G45 Motherboard

Storage:
OCZ Vertex 4 SSD 128GB (Operating System, small programs)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB (Large programs/Videos/Music)
Hitachi Deskstar 160GB (Backup)
ASUS DVD-RW Drive

Case, Cooling, and Peripherals:
Case: Corsair Carbide series 500R
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+ (Lapped and processor is also lapped)
GPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Accelero Mono with custom fan bracket bolted on and 120mm CPU fan bolted on
Fans: 4x Stock Case fans (3x 120mm 1x 200mm side fan), 2x Cougar Vortex 120mm PWM fans.
Monitor: LG Flatron E2350 23.5" 1080P Full HD LED-LCD Monitor
Speakers: 4.5 foot tall Pioneer CS-M758's with 12" subs
Keyboard: HP Wireless Elite
Mouse: Some random Logitech wireless mouse...
I also have a steering wheel setup for some racing games I play sometimes

If you're wondering why I'd post all of this, computers are another hobby of mine. I'm on tom's hardware, overclock.net, and betaarchive.

So, what computer or specs do you have?

I have 4 regular machines. Nothing special, but as a lazy sysadmin, they all get the job done.

Work Desktop:
2012 Mac Mini Server
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2635QM CPU @ 2.00GHz (linux reports as 8 cores, so probably dual quad-cores)
2x500GB drives (not in a RAID)
4GB RAM
dual ancient 20" ViewSonic VP201mb flat-panels (1xDVI over Thunderbolt, 1xDVI via HDMI)
dell keyboard & Logitech trackball
Arch Linux (Linux 3.6.6) and Mac OS 10.7 dual-boot with rEFIt. I've been too lazy to BootCamp it and triple-boot Win7, but I could...

Work Laptop:
Dell Latitude E6400
Intel Core2 Duo P8600 @2.4GHz (2 cores)
80GB drive
2GB RAM
Arch Linux (Linux 3.6.6)

I also have an old Dell XPS M1210 lappy with Win7 sitting on my desk. Not sure what to do with it yet.
Then there's the machines in the server room, but I think that would be O/T here. :)

Home Desktop:
ancient Dell Optiplex GX620
Pentium 4 3.2GHz with HT (so linux reports as dual-core), SpeedStep is off :)
80GB drive
1GB RAM
ancient 17" Hyundai LCD
Sun Type 6 USB keyboard and Logitech trackball (I worked at Sun for 5 years, so the keyboard has some sentimental value)
Linux Mint Debian Edition (Linux 3.2.0)

Home Laptop (which is really a netbook):
Asus Aspire One AO722
AMD Fusion C50 dual-core 1GHz
500GB drive
4GB RAM
11.6" widescreen
Linux Mint Debian Edition (Linux 3.2.0)

There's also my wife's MacBook Pro, but it is as it came. Nothing fun on that machine.

I like your setups, they all seem like they're great for their purposes. And I'm almost positive the mac mini only has one processor; i7's can't run in dual configurations, only Xeons can. It's most likely that linux is detecting the 8 threads, not the 4 cores. i7's have hyperthreading.

I'm soon going to become the proud owner of a 2001 PIII Dell laptop ;)

I thought it was a one-socket, but I couldn't remember if it was HT or not... see, I was too lazy to look it up. :P

The dual 20"'s are great for plastering a web browser on one and covering the other with terminal windows (or RDP sessions, depending on what is going on). And my bittorrent client of course. Must keep the Linux CDs flowing to the masses.

All four machines are running 64-bit Linux distros, which finally realizes the dream I had back in 1998 when I started as a student sysadmin in the Sun lab of my next desktop being 64-bit like the Suns were.

I pulled an old desktop out of the clsoet. I'm not sure the exact processor but it is about 500MHz. It didn't have a hard drive so I pulled an old one out of the deks drawer and put in it. I turned it on and it booted to DOS 6.1. That hard drive had the game Descent on it and it runs great.

my wife has an old Dell desktop that she used to use in her business but doesn't use anymore. She has a Toshiba laptop similar to mine but hers is 12" non-widescreen, barely bigger than an ipad.

My 4 year old desktop is ancient compared to what many are using... but it does everything it needs to do with power to spare.

Asus P5Q mobo with Intel 8700 series 2.33 quad core, 8 gigs of ram, 512 video, 1 tb internal storage and a 1tb external backup...

The Wayback machine gets used for basic tasks like e-mail and internet and is an old P3 with 1G ram, 512 video, and a 100g hard drive.

...

I remember when I got a 100 meg external hard drive for my Mac Plus and when that was the shizzle.

Heh, a year ago I would have my answer to this question memorized.

Now that I have other priorities, I couldn't tell you a darn thing. i5? i7? I dunno. I just know it has 16GB of RAM because we convinced our buyer at work to get that much. Storage? Not enough for our department.

My computer at home? i5 laptop. 17.3" screen, 4GB RAM. I don't even know what gen i5 it is.

And I don't care.

Right now, I'm using a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop running XP. It's about 5 or 6 years old. It spent the first year and a half of its life in the Texarkana Visitor's center driving a digital signage display. It was purchased by a former employer because it was the cheapest laptop they could find.

It's not mine really. I'm keeping it as collateral to be redeemed when the employer pays me what they owe me in unpaid wages. But they've gone out of business, so I'm not expecting them to pay up any time soon.

I had my headphones plugged into it yesterday watching a documentary on Topdocumentaries.com.

I just gave up Microsoft operating systems for good after a thirty year relationship. Too many interface changes since Vista made me give up on MS. Also, even on a dual core I5 Dell laptop, Windows 7 runs like a slow old dog. Linux never floated my boat.

I've had Mac's on and off since the Mac SE, but now get it done with an iPad 2 and 13" Macbook Air running Leopard.

My desktop - the big box part of it - is mostly black with a silver front with some buttons and some blinking lights on it. The monitor is flat screen of some sort - HD - with stickers my kids put on it. It is balanced up on two wooden blocks from the kids' toy box. The keyboard we just go, or rather just pulled out of the closet. I think it belonged to my wife's dad before he died. And a mouse that says Kensington, but its shape makes it very uncomfortable and difficult to use.

For some technical info: It says it is powerd by Asus.

27-inch: 2.9GHz
2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB (two 4GB) memory
1TB hard drive1 (FUSION drive + 128gb SSD)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M with 512MB

I have it side by side with a ten year old 30" Apple Cinema Display that's still going strong. Lotta screen real estate.

I've run Macs in my office network here for 20+ years, I've had a couple of PCs networked in, ditched those years ago, now the Windows on the iMac serves if I have to access Windows stuff, which is increasingly rare. This new machine is smokin fast. Beautiful display, it's a full glossy display but it has no glare, I don't know how they did it. Apple's industrial design is always a couple of years ahead of everybody else for the most part. Beautiful, sleek design.

My desktop - A custom build during July 2011 (looking at my Newegg order history)

Intel i7 - 2600K
MSI P67a G45 motherboard
GSkill Ripjaws 16 GB (total) memory
Antek High Current "Gamer Series" 750w power supply
EVGA Superclocked GTX 460 with 1GB memory
Win 7
2 WD Black 500GB
HP DVD writer carried over, lost 3..5 floppy as no motherboard connector, multi card carryover from prior build
Antec mid case
New Logitec wireless keyboard and mouse - mobo only had 1 wired connector for either/or, but went through several wireless due to signal loss /skipping.
LG IPS23 monitor with DVI hookup
Audyssey Lower East Side speakers, analog hookup, but also use with Apple TV and direct TosLink digital hookup. (one of the few that can do that)

Laptop
HP-G60
AMD Turon based, Win 7, maxed memoy.
Old, dreadfully slow and needs to be replaced. Thinking switching to Mac as cant stand the Win 8 interface.

Wife's desktop
An AMD machine I built 9 years ago, maxed memory and running Win 7. Worse, I think it was an AMD hand me down as I recycled parts from an prior Pentium E6600 build on my desktop that the Core i7 above replaced.
Nasty 15" monitor from a decade ago that needs to be replaced.
She is complaining about it "being so slow". Could build out the E6600, but stuck with Windows 8 and she likes to personalize the pictures on her desktop...the big ugly Win 8 box interface won't do!
Again, thinking about an Apple iMac

The irony is, Windows 8 is pushing me back to Apple. Other than my iPad, I haven't had an Apple since my Apple II, then business pushed me to the PC world with my first 8086 machine and I have been there since.

Lots of 2600K in here....

Mine is Dell XPS with the i7-2600 (locked) proc., but gets the job done well. I would warn against using it if you are really into gaming as it only accepts a small number of video cards due to the mobo they used. With the addition of a suitable video card and the SSD, it runs like a champ.

I built mine pretty minimally about three+ years ago (Newegg shows I purchased the parts in 8/09). Some parts have been replaced, like the DVD drive was upgraded after it stopped working, same as the PSU.

AMD Athlon II X2 240
8GB DDR2 RAM
Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200
Two 500GB drives in RAID 1
Bluray reader/DVD burner
19" ASUS widescreen
Antec Green 380W 80 Plus Bronze PSU
Windows 8 (started with XP)

I was playing the Simcity beta the other day and I want a better video card, otherwise, it is adequate.

Jesus this thread makes me realize how old my computer is, and how quickly computer technology advances. I think I got my computer in '07, it's a Powerspec. I maxed out the motherboard's memory capability, a now laughable 2gigs... Intel Pentium D. I think it runs at about 3.2 ghz. It's got a 250 gig HD, and I put the 125gig one from my last computer in it too. The video card is pure crap, 512mb ATI. Running XP pro SP3. I recently replaced the stock power supply and it's silent now, which I had never known the luxury of before.
Not long ago I got a HP touchsmart to replace the crappy comp that got fried in a power surge,(even though it probably just needed a PS.). It's nice enough but nothing special, I just like the "all in one" aspect of it and was able to get it pretty cheap. 4gb RAM, 500gb HD, "Beats" audio,(which I'm sure means nada,) touchscreen, only requires a power chord.

After making the commitment to replace the crashed HDD in our MacBook Pro two years ago (it was two years old, and not cheap, so not like we were gonna chuck it), and the crashed HDD in our 4.5 year old iMac a few months ago (ditto), we splurged a few hundred bucks to up the RAM to its full capacity - 6GB. I'd love more, but that's all she wrote till we get something new; maybe a few years on, if this stuff lasts that long.

We also sprung for the most up to date OS on both machines. We've got a 250GB HD in the lap top (fine, I don't store much on there but our most important family photos and personal docs) and 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The iMac has a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and we went up from 1 TB to a 2TB drive in that one. Probably overkill, but it wasn't much more money, so what the hey.

I haven't a clue about video and sound hardware in the machines. They both have FW 400 and 800 ports, blue tooth and a surprisingly inadequate number of and inconveniently placed USB 2.0 ports. I'm looking forward to USB 3.0 on our next machine, and I plan to do a custom tower build, or at least a Mac Pro tower, with a SS Drive to run the OS and (assuming large capacity SSDs are still hellaciously expensive) a 2TB or 3 TB green optical drive for storage. I put some stuff on the cloud, but after disastrous data losses, I now back up each machine with two externals (two per machine) and keep redundant copies of the most important stuff on both, so that's six drives to fail before we lose it all...of course, I need to place one of each backup off site for that to really make sense.
