Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Frame Recommendations

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am thinking of building up a new ss and am looking for recommendations on a frame. I would ideally like something a little closer to road geometry than straight track geo. I would like to get something a light as possible, definitely want brake mounts for rear and holes for bottle cage. I was looking at the aluminum leaders(735, 725, 721), but am concerned the geometry might be a little too hardcore track. Also - I would rather have just the frame as I already have a decent carbon fork (1 1/8).
Any recommendations?

I'm sure there'll be more informed recommendations to come, but I don't really want nor need track geometry either so I use a vintage road frame. A lot of riders in my local club ride fixed and there are a couple with Soma Van Ness frames. They have sort of "road sport" geometry and can fit 28mm tires. Also, they look really sharp. I'd have a tough time ditching the fork though as it's damned attractive.

What is your budget?
Wabi Cycles makes a great light frameset with a little more relaxed geometry
