I've had this bike for four years I've changed the batteries but this fall I feel the bike seems to be cutting in and out with the power. It is like you shut the switch off and on. It has not stopped but you feel it surge? I have also lost the distance that I can go on a charge.
Any idea what could be doing this? how about a controller? Don't want to spend a lot trying to understand this so I need help. Thanks so much. Love this bike and after 4 years would not want to get rid of it it has become a great part of me and would hate to lose it.

I gather this is an electric bike. (unless your knees, heart or lungs are cutting in or out)

There is a specific "electric bikes" forum and you're likely to get a good answer if you move this post there.

Over here, we turn the pedals the old fashioned way.

Is it a red bike or a blue one? I've heard of this happening with blue bikes before, but never red ones.

Could be the main jet or the choke. They always act up this time of year.
