i recently got into mountain biking and i used my step dads bike for a bit to see if it was as bad ass as it seems and this is something i really want to get into. I like to ride trails but at the same time i like to hit jumps because im a daredevil adrenaline junkie!!
Ive been looking around and have been told to get a 29er or just a hardtail (26ers). so im asking yall which is the best for what i want.
i did find a bike that is a 29er and it is a Diamondback overdrive, any thoughts?

Just one, don't buy the Diamondback.
Shop around at local bike shops. Buy the bike that fits you best and has the best parts for the money you're willing to spend.
As you break stuff (you will) buy something better to replace the broken part and eventually you'll have a decent bike, but it will cost more then if you had bought a real good quality one from the beginning.
