Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've got a 2009 Trek 2.3 roadie with Speedplay Zero pedals. I want to try these (http://www.realrecreationusa.com/p/Sunlite-Pdh41479-Pedal-Extenders-9-16-Crank-27-5mm-8489315.html) pedal extenders. Are my crank/pedals 9/16" ?
Thanks!

Yes, they are. Remember the left pedal is left-hand threaded and removes by turning it clockwise viewed from the left side of the bike.

Those adapters should work fine. Remember to grease (I recommend TefGel) both sets of threads before you assemble to keep the threads from seizing. Use a proper pedal wrench and tighten them firmly so they don't come loose and strip the crank threads.

Do you already have the cleats adjusted for maximum clearance?

Yes, and I still ride with my knees out and see shoe rubbing marks on the crank arms.

Sunlite makes a 21mm spacer (SKU 41617) vs the 27.5mm 41479 pictured which will give you some clearance without placing your feet quite so far out.
