I just bought TREK FX 7.5 and like the bike a lot.

But the shifting is not great and I'll like to upgrade the shifter and Cassette and derailleur from the stock ones to much better quality units.

I like SRAM and Shimano brands but are open to all other brands.

The stock specs on the TREK FX 7.5 are Listed below:

---------------------------------------------

Shifters Shimano R440, 9 speed trigger

Rear derailleur Shimano Deore

Front derailleur Shimano Sora

SRAM PG-950 11-34, 9 speed

---------------------------------------------

Many thanks for any and all help you can give me in upgrading my TREK 7.5 FX !

Those parts should shift just fine if the cables are lubed and DER's correctly adjusted.

I didn't like the shifters on my 7.5, either. I replaced them with Deore 9sp M590 shifters.

I test drove the FX 7.6 10 SPEED and it shifted much better that the 7.5 9 speed.

Maybe I should have bought the 7.6 but I liked the 7.5 colors much better on the 7.5 so I going to upgrade the shifter and derailleur and Cassette to get the best shifting possible.
