Which do you guys recommend? I'm gonna be riding in some wet conditions, and i've heard that organic pads can wear faster in the wet. How much do the different rates of wear compare?
Any input would be appreciated. Cheers
Organic - for dry conditions. Offers better modulation, trading off longevity.
Sintered - for multi conditions. Fair compromise of modulation and wear.
Semi-metallic - for wet/muddy conditions. On/off feel but lasts.
Also, note if you've a closed-hydro system, sintered or semi-metallic may not be suitable on long descents, as friction heat is transfered more readily to the hydraulic fluid causing the brakes to fade or lock-up.
