Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Has anyone else noticed the phenomenon that is people riding single speed bikes with just a front break? This makes sense when you're on a track bike but not a bike with a freewheel. Craziness.

I let my child ride a coaster brake with no hand brakes. I should be in jail.
Bikes are supposed to break?

It's silly, sure. Sillier than riding fixed with no brakes (like me)? Not even close.

i still love that line:
"i trust my foot more than i trust anything else"
Dude, I seriously don't understand that nonsense. Using your foot and using a brake to stop is like the exact same thing. Except one is ********.
