Folding Bikes - Anyone have a Soma Ti Journey folder?

These were so expensive that they were destined to disappear quickly ($2400 Ultegra equipped). I'd love to hear about how it rides, how much a finished one weighs and other fun stuff like that. Anyone?

A swift ? I see a Ti Raleigh Twenty. Beautiful bike, I have a hard time lusting over a bike with that style hinge though.

No dough Soma Ti Journey folder as a striking resemblance with a Swift, Bike Friday, Brompton, Dahon and many folding frames that use a basic design that proved it self over and over again and is being used from the 60's (if not earlier) by Moulton and Raleigh and etc. Use the right parts on a R20 frame and you have a bicycle with similar performace as a Soma Ti. The difference is weight, of course.

Note to Yan,.... the Ti "DT-B". There is demand, but no supply, for a folder with Ti frame and CF forks, ideally with a long maintube for the magic Swift road feel. This won't make sense until you've ridden a Swift.

But the Swift doesn't have a hinge in the middle of the monotube. Also, does the bike rest on the big chainring when folded?

IH, in the DT-B thread, we were conceding that the main tube would be hinged and that the rear triangle would pivot under.... the B for Brompton. True, a "long maintube" variant would not fold as compactly as the B, but it would could do a maintube fold, which would make it more compact than the Swift. Without the long maintube, there is no Swift magic.
