My Buckyballs! :innocent: They arrived today. Yep, they are addictive. I had been on the fence for some time about buying a set,
then I read that thanks to that every watchful government agency, the consumer product safety commission, the company that
makes Buckyballs is going to take them off the market. :notamused:
Here is one article (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/industries/retail/story/2012-07-25/buckyballs-ban/56481316/1) there
are plenty of others. If you want a set of Buckyballs, better get them now. Have fun, and thumb your nose at another government agency
that believe it knows what is good for you.
"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help". Truly the most feared words in America.

Easy solution. DON'T PUT THEM IN YOUR MOUTH!
The governement should also stop the sale of screws, tacks, nails, nuts, bolts, clothes pins, paper clips and just about anything else that is small enough of that someone can fit it between cheeks and teeth.
Good grief.

Here is one article (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/industries/retail/story/2012-07-25/buckyballs-ban/56481316/1) Sabrina is too stupid to be worth $50M.

Still plenty of places out there, to buy magnets. In fact, I think K&J Magnetics even sells kits very similar to those Bucky Balls.

Kids put stuff in their mouths, so keep it away if it is at all harmful stuff. Not rocket science, but apparently it is for America.
... I promise I didn't want that to sound all P&R. Sorry.

Trackhub, you should talk to Rube apparently he has a couple he's not planning on using anymore. :)
My question is: Why they get stuck in the intestines? Should then finish to the trailend like everything else?

One magnet in one part, the other somewhere else then mutual attraction, ergo no further movement. :(

In addition, they may be close enough to pinch layers of intestine between them, causing necrosis and perforation.

very powerful magnets....the intestines fold so that one segment can be next to the other....these little magnets are strong enough to pull one through the intestinal walls to the other (assuming more than one is swallowed). Perforation of the colon (large or small) is a bad, bad thing.
