It seems I have a pulled hamstring from playing basketball. Essentially, it feels like a very tight muscle in the back of my leg. I stretch, message, rest, etc. and it starts to feel better. On Sunday, it felt fine for 3 games of BBall or so, then WHAM, it felt like a big knot on the back of my leg.
Luckily, it doesn’t feel bad when I spin, but I would like to keep playing BBall until the riding weather gets better here.
Any suggestions on dealing with a pulled hamstring?
Thanks

I think there's a fine line between letting the muscle get weak and re-injuring it, and that fine line is the fastest way to heal. Those dang muscles take a while to fully heal up. Ice and massages sound like a good idea.
Can you wrap it while you play ball or even spin, to give it some extra support?
You didn't feel a popping sound when you hurt it, did you?

No I didn't feel a popping. I assume that's a bad thing?
According to this site, I would classify it as a "Class 2" strain http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/back/hamstrings/hamstringstrain.htm
Wrapping it was something I considered, I might give that a try.
Thanks
