Hopelessly stuck in the past, but for the most part I like it here. I listen to well over 100 different bands/artists while I ride-not all at the same time, of course!
OLD AC/DC, Dio, OLD Iron Maiden, OLD Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Scorpions, Tom Petty and some Van Halen are probably the favorites, but I'm fickle.

Some bands/songs are best for riding in town, others for out in the hills.
That REALLY long version (over 19 minutes) of Moby Dick, for example, is great when I am climbing a mountain in the sticks.

Mostly I listen to the less aggressive stuff when riding in town. I have it set up so that I don't have to cover my ears when riding in traffic, by the way.

Rock on!

Although I like many metal/rock bands from Napalm Death (grindcore/death metal) through to AC/DC (hard bluesy rock), the following bands are what I'm listening to a lot lately. Lots of slower, heavy, groovy, doomy stuff.

Mastodon
High On Fire
Cathedral
Ufomammut
Spiritual Beggars
Grand Magus
Corrosion of Conformity

Melvins
Mastadon
Emperor
Mistress
Anaal Nathrakh
Iron Monkey (oh yeah)
Nile
Cult of Luna
Darkthrone

And plenty of other stuff along those lines.....

Corrosion of Conformity

Local boys... saw them many times when an undergrad...
Loved their shows at the (sadly closed down) Brewery.
Ahh, memories
