Foo - daily internet boredom relief

I feel like I am part of a unique, distinctly pathetic group, who wastes each day in an office, browsing sites like this forum, and this: http://groups.myspace.com/ThrashinThursdays . Which I randomly stumbled upon through a friends site. Is everyone as lame as I am, wishing that our days were filled with rides, rather than websites...?

there were 2 days last week where i went to work and didn't run into anyone. i was using the computer the entire time. communicated a lot, just not face to face. once in a while, although rare, i can go an entire day without saying a word. those days are kinda surreal.

A similar environment (though there are opportunities for socializing [read: table tennis]) to this allows me to work from home 3 or 4 days a week. I work in web development part-time while attending school.

turd, i just realized that alot of your pictures were taken at the grand street park, a mere 2 blocks from my building. such a small world.

I have not been to the office yet this week. I punch keys and pet my cats and greet my wife when she comes home at 5:00. Tomorrow I go back into the fray for a series of meetings, (meatings?) I know I will find the noise level deafening and the need to wear a collar choking. I have a calico longhair curled up on a chair besiside me snoring as I write this.

One of the ladies I work with in the prison, I mean cube, next to me has a radio I can literally tell the time of day based on the song that is playing. Ugh its depressing to think about

i wish that internet reality was more like regular reality. i don't think i've ever seen any of the myspace faces at thrashin' thursday. then again maybe i misread. maybe they're like the thrashin' thursday society. they are not visible 'fixtures' at the group rides, but in fact, more like a board of trustees that worries about finances and squabbling over the thrashin' thursday mission statement.

come to think of it... that's pretty important too.

I used to spend weeks on end by myself beta testing games in my room without saying a word to anyone. Ironically, I'm now know as the guy who just won't shut the hell up at work.

I wish a few of my days were boring.

My day goes something like this:

5:30AM - wake up

6:00AM - done eating, now showering(I'm a bit slow in the morning)

6:30AM - off to school on my trusty mountain bike

7:30AM - In classroom helping out(I write for the newspaper! cool!)

8:00AM - school starts, spanish 1st period ugh.(Oh crap! 100 word vocab test...)

9:31AM - homeroom... 20 minutes of peace.

9:50AM - photo...finally an easy class(oh no, a new project...)

11:20AM - lunch. Eat fast, go to library to study and do homework.

12:04 - SSR(sustained silent reading. useless waste of time)

12:24 - crap, calculas. damn you cosign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1:54 - almost home. Struggle to stay awake in AP bio. More homework....

go home at 3:20. eat something. Sleep till 5. work till 1. Do it again the next day.

Saturday/Sunday - aaaahhhh, salvation. time to go for a ride:)

so to answer your Q's jesse, yes. I do wish my time was spent riding vs doing a bunch of projects and reading innumerable pages on tyrosine kinase receptors.

I know that would drive me up the wall in about 3 days. How does that work? Is her radio station that incredibly terrible or does she have a series of CD's she plays in the same order every day, starting at the same time? Or am I grossly overestimating the freakishness of what you were describing?

Terrible isnt the word. It some crappy pop station that runs a cycle of about 12 songs. You know... Britney... Ashley Simpson... JHO... Repeat.

Get revenge by acquiring and playing a variety of Merzbow CDs. Possibly among the least-accessible of all music - great for screwing with those who don't like it.

I joined myspace.com. It's an interesting site. Not at all what I thought it would be, as I imagined it would be something about groups with similar interest. It turned out to be more of a singles place.

I feel like I was thirsty for a cold beer and walked into a swingers bar. Violated, eyeballed, still thirsty and yet utterly interested in a voyueristic sense.

Then the PM's came. I had accidently had hit BI and Swinger.

Who knew?
