Hybrid Bicycles - Want a hybrid bike under £400. Recommendations wanted

I know nothing about bikes but am looking at buying a hybrid bike. My budget is £400. can you guys give me some suggestions?

What ever you are looking at, does your £400 include locks, lights, helmet, gloves etc, as these can all add substantially to the price.

Thanks Jim, nah £400 is just for the bike. I've budgeted £100-150 for all the accessories.
