Training & Nutrition - Cytomax Cheap!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

niterider, please re-read the community guidelines (http://www.bikeforums.net/misc.php?s=&action=faq&page=1#about), such as:
Solicitation... Refrain from using BikeForums to advertise your site, items for sale, commercial services or website. You may attach a short link to your site within your profile or signature.
Spamming... Spamming is the multiple posting of an identical or similar post on one or more of our Forums.
Thanks.

Yeah I'm aware of the guidelines however I've seen stuff posted in here before that went against them.
Just trying to give people a heads up on a deal that you can't find anywhere else that's all. I'll have to out little stickies on the window's of every car at race events. heh :-)

*nod* I understand, the mods and i delete or remove quite a few posts a day that go against the guidelines. If you see one that slips by, click on the "report" link, we will get right to it.

Joe, what about the Hot Deals forum? Isn't that all about sales and solicitations?

If this was posted by somebody other then the webmaster, or anyone affiliated with the deal, i would have simply moved it to the hot deals forum.

I'll try hot deals since they advertise, "Found a good deal on the net? Let us know about it here!" :-)
It;s net related and it's a good deal... can't lose

How do other forums handle these type of posts? :)

well i figure that if somone posts something useless 5 or six times over and over then that's spamming. People post sites and good deals all the time and no one usually takes them out of other forums. I figure that if it helps the rider in any way, I am all for it.
I think Joe has been doing a great job of keeping BF.C from becoming a Land-O-Spam. Advertising doesn't belong on forum discussion threads.
Advertisers can either pay Joe to advertise, or use the "Great Deals" topic that Joe has been so gracious to provide.
On some occassions, BF.C members find something that is particularly cool or an especially unusual deal and that gets them excited and they post about it, but it is only when the poster does not have any direct financial benefit from the post.
Joe, I don't know what the other forums do, but you set the standard. No need to be influenced by other forums.

Well, a bunch of people start posting SPAM type posts - but then when he starts to "talk back" it gets deleted.
