i bought a used 2011 specialized roubaix elite carbon fiber frame, everything but the drive train, for a great price on ebay.
i also bought a complete 2012, 105 take off group set on ebay for a great price.
i an assembling the bike now and everything is going nicely until i put on the brake cables. when i put the cable end cap on the cable housing it won't fit into the tension adjusting nut retaining cup. the cable will fit into the cup without the cable end cap on it.
the cable housings are new jagwire, and the cables are original shimano cables.
can i install the cables without the end caps? or should i try shimano cable housings?
the group set came with the cables but only had 1 brake cable housing, says shimano SLR on it, and there were no end caps on it.
thanks for the help in advance
