You have a FD to go along with the Deore 9 speed RD?

I don't have a matching Deore FD, but the Light Action AL11 will work. On my touring bike I currently run a modern Deore XT 9 speed rear with an FD-M700 Deerhead which is identical to the AL11.

Interesting about the later Deer Head RDs not having the centeron lever. I didn't know the later version did away with that feature. I've had several Deer Head RDs, and the've all had the centeron lever. It does make for smooth friction shifting without the need for careful trimming.
